Ода весне


Смотри! Розовогруда нам
‎Венера предстаёт!
Цвести не терпится цветам,
‎Едва проснулся год!
Пернатый Аттики поэт
‎Кукушке трелью шлёт привет
‎В гармонии с Природой, в лад,
И шепчущие ветерки —
Зефиры, хладны и легки,
‎Разносят аромат.

Где дуб, высокий исполин
‎Дарит нас тенью в зной,
Где крона бука — паланкин
‎Над светлою водой,
Нас двое с Музой у ручья,
И думаем — она и я
(Всегда свободны и дружны)
О том, сколь тщетен жар толпы,
Сколь все чванливые глупы,
‎Сколь знатные бедны.

Закончен тяжкий труд дневной.
‎Пора уснуть стадам…
Но, чу! Среди толпы мирской
‎Докучный слышен гам.
То мотыльки летят, пьяны
Сладчайшим воздухом весны.
Сквозь ясный день они парят,
Иные, волей ветра мчась,
Иные, показать стремясь
‎На солнце свой наряд.

Гляжу и думаю: «И вот
‎Людских судеб закон:
И кто летит, и кто ползёт,
‎Где начал, кончит он.
В трудах ли, в праздности живёшь —
Равно по жизни сей плывёшь.
Изменчив рок и крут.
Все будут сметены Судьбой
И танец все закончат свой
‎И в землю упадут.

Мне чудится по сторонам
‎Смешливый шепоток:
«Эй, моралист! А кто ты сам?
‎Отшельник-мотылёк.
С кем радости делить ты рад,
И для кого хранишь ты клад,
Где твой узор цветной?
Где юность — быстрые крыла?
Уже твоя весна ушла.
‎Мы ж веселы весной!»
